Cafe Connect Co Launches in Colchester: A New Hybrid Café and Travel Hub Designed to Connect Communities
Colchester, Essex– A fresh new concept combining quality coffee, locally sourced food and expert travel advice has arrived in Colchester, with the official opening on the 26th of May of Cafe Connect Co at the Digital Forum on Queen Street.
Created by Transport Made Simple, Cafe Connect Co represents an innovative approach to enhancing the customer experience for bus users and the wider community – and of course, offering a wide range of quality food and drink, because great journeys start with great coffee!
The café blends the welcoming atmosphere of a local coffee shop with practical travel assistance, creating a unique destination where visitors can enjoy food and drink while also receiving support and information to help them travel with confidence.
The concept is simple: serve high-quality food and beverages – with many products sourced from communities across the company’s local bus network, while equipping staff to help passengers navigate local transport services.
As the business transitions from Konectbus to Central Connect later this year, additional travel resources and updated network information will become available from the café.
Speaking about the launch, the team behind the project described Cafe Connect Co as a vision brought to life, with Peter Nathanail, Managing Director at Transport Made Simple (parent company of Konectbus and Central Connect) saying “I’ve always been passionate about providing face to face information and travel advice to our customers. Yes, everything is available online, but we’re all about connecting with our customers through a variety of channels, and the ability to come and speak to our team face to face and get support with bus travel is a really positive addition to our Colchester bus network”.
