TMS welcomes a trio of premium Irizar i6S Efficient coaches
Transport Made Simple is pleased to announce the arrival of three new Irizar i6S Efficient coaches into the fleet of its subsidiary, Simonds.
The three identical vehicles will strengthen Simonds’ private hire and corporate transport operations, while also supporting a wide variety of work including holidays, day excursions and continental educational tours.
Built to a length of 12.9 metres, each coach offers seating for 53 passengers and is powered by the efficient DAF MX-11 engine producing 408bhp, paired with a ZF Ecolife automatic transmission. Finished in Transport Made Simple’s distinctive livery, the new additions combine premium passenger comfort with operational flexibility.
Passengers will benefit from a host of onboard features including a centrally positioned toilet, seatback tables, USB charging sockets throughout the cabin, blue aisle lighting, wooden-effect flooring and a drinks machine mounted above the toilet compartment. Front and centre monitors provide enhanced entertainment during journeys.
For drivers, the coaches feature a modern and practical working environment, with an HMI touchscreen incorporating satellite navigation, a leather multifunction steering wheel and reversing sensors.
Accessibility has been a key consideration in the specification, with each vehicle fitted with a wheelchair lift housed within the luggage compartment and Hanover destination displays, ensuring compliance with PSVAR requirements. The coaches also meet the latest Accessible Information Regulations, reflecting Transport Made Simple’s commitment to inclusive travel and supporting its role as a major provider of rail replacement services across East Anglia.
Additional equipment includes an inverter system, LED exterior lighting, manual luggage lockers, a three-piece front bumper and three-point seat belts throughout the passenger cabin.
The arrival of these three Irizar i6S Efficient coaches represents a further investment by Transport Made Simple and Simonds in delivering high-quality, accessible and comfortable transport solutions across their diverse range of operations.
